(STMW) — A person was found dead after crews put out a vehicle fire in the Pilsen neighborhood Friday night, fire officials said.
Crews responded at 7:48 p.m. to the fire in the 600 block of West 21st Street, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle.
The body was found in the back seat once the fire was extinguished, Lyle said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the death. Chicago Police could not immediately be reached for details.
